<p><br>The CLC has a vacancy for a permanent Regional Representative in our Ontario Region office, based in Sudbury, Ontario.</p>



<p><br>The successful candidate will report to the Director, Ontario Region.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span></strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Collaborate with labour councils and federations to support CLC programs, campaigns, and educational initiatives.</li>



<li>Develop and maintain CLC educational materials and modules related to service area and regional campaigns.</li>



<li>Manage media coordination to elevate the profile of the labour movement and foster community engagement.</li>



<li>Deliver educational programs within the region.</li>



<li>Provide CLC support for social justice initiatives at provincial and local levels, fostering coalition building and community engagement.</li>



<li>Implement programs to elevate the profile of the labour movement and cultivate community media relationships.</li>



<li>Manage media coordination for labour councils and the CLC.</li>



<li>Liaise with labour councils and federations to support CLC programs, campaigns and educational initiatives, while coordinating municipal strategies and providing backing for social justice initiatives.</li>



<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>



<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span><br>The successful candidate will have the following:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Minimum three (3) years&#8217; experience working with labour councils and community groups to plan and deliver campaigns.</li>



<li>Knowledgeable of the Canadian labour movement and its pursuit of social and economic equality.</li>



<li>Minimum three (3) years’ experience in community organizing and engagement.</li>



<li>Demonstrated experience in adult education, specifically within the labour movement.</li>



<li>Proven ability to cultivate media relationships to ensure coverage of relevant issues and events.</li>



<li>Capacity to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, inside the labour movement, and with community and coalition partners.</li>



<li>A sound understanding of CLC’s regional structure, including labour councils, educational programs, and other regionally delivered programs.</li>



<li>Proficient in Microsoft OneDrive and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), social media platforms and design software, with experience in newsletter creation.</li>



<li>Proficiency in social media and modern communication tools.</li>



<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with demonstrated leadership qualities.</li>



<li>Commitment to integrating feminist and anti-racist perspectives into union activities.</li>



<li>Skilled in developing and maintaining educational resources.</li>



<li>Experience in collective bargaining and union representation.</li>



<li>Ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays within and outside the region.</li>



<li>A valid drivers license is required.</li>
</ul>



<p>The annual starting salary for this position is <strong>$107,705.39</strong> along with comprehensive benefits under the IAMAW, Local Lodge 3111 CULR collective agreement. Benefits include health, vision, and dental coverage, group life insurance, LTD coverage, pension contributions, as well as a monthly vehicle allowance and coverage for fuel, internet and cell phone expenses.</p>
