Ginette Brazeau Appointed Chairperson of the Canada Industrial Relations Board

The Canadian Labour Congress offers its congratulations to Ginette Brazeau on her appointment as Chairperson of the Canadian Industrial Relations Board.

“I offer my sincerest congratulations to Ginette Brazeau on her appointment as Chairperson of the CIRB and look forward to working with her and the other members of the board of directors in the months and years to come,” said CLC President Hassan Yussuff.

I also want to congratulate Minister Leitch, on whose recommendation this appointment was made, and her government,” he said.

According to Yussuff, Brazeau’s appointment will go far to promote the Board’s job of working toward peaceful labour relations in the key economic sectors and social services regulated through the Canada Labour Code and the Status of the Artist Act.

Yussuff also thanked outgoing Chairperson, Elizabeth MacPherson, for her service, offering her best wishes on behalf of the 3.3 million union members the CLC represents.
