Nominations for Elections at the CLC’s 31st Constitutional Convention

Labour Council Vice-President Election Requirements and Nomination Process

To stand for the position of Labour Council Vice-President, you must be the President and/or a full-time released officer of your Labour Council.

The CLC covers travel and accommodation costs for required CLC functions, such as Canadian Council meetings and CLC Conventions for the Labour Council VPs. Labour Council’s that nominate a candidate also assume the responsibility for wage replacement costs, should their candidate get elected. Expected travel is two to three times per year, for two to three days per meeting. Accordingly, you must have the signed endorsement of your Labour Council.

The President or signing authority of a labour council may submit a nomination (including their own) using the following form.

By submitting a nomination, they confirm that the candidate has the endorsement of their labour council and that the labour council will be responsible for the associated costs.

This endorsement must be submitted to the CLC seven days prior to the Sunday Labour Council Caucus, by 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on May 3, 2026. Elections will be held at the Labour Council Forum on May 10, 2026

Should you have any questions, please contact president-office@clcctc.ca and our team will follow up with you.
