Accessibility Statement

The Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive digital experience for all users. We strive to ensure that canadianlabour.ca is usable by people with a wide range of abilities and assistive technologies.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to improve our website as standards evolve and content is updated.

This statement applies to the canadianlabour.ca website and does not apply to third-party services linked from this site.

The CLC’s Accessibility policy is available in an accessible format upon request, and is available here:

Standards and Guidelines

The CLC aims to align with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, where reasonably practicable.

While we make best efforts to meet these standards, some content may not yet be fully accessible.

Measures to Support Accessibility

To support accessibility, the CLC seeks to:

  • Use clear structure, headings, and semantic markup,
  • Design content that can be navigated using assistive technologies,
  • Maintain sufficient colour contrast and readable typography,
  • Support keyboard navigation where possible, and
  • Review new content and updates with accessibility considerations in mind.

Known Limitations

Some limitations may exist, including:

  • Third-party platforms or embedded content not fully under CLC’s control, and
  • Legacy documents or media not originally created to current accessibility standards.

Where feasible, accessible alternatives will be provided upon request.
